I’m a Berthoud, Colorado-based mother of two wonderful boys, ages 4 and 1. My journey into motherhood began with a medically managed hospital birth, where support during labor and postpartum was limited. Navigating postpartum anxiety, depression, and nursing challenges as a single mother was a deeply formative experience.
My second birth—a natural water birth at a birth center attended by midwives and a doula—was profoundly different. It was through that empowering and supported experience that I came to understand the incredible strength of the birthing body, and the vital role that informed, compassionate care plays in a woman’s journey.
As I moved through this transformative chapter, I found myself drawn to learning more about pregnancy, birth, and postpartum care. I became passionate about the power of nurturing, evidence-based support during this sacred transition. That path ultimately led me to doula work, where I feel deeply called to walk alongside women as they move through one of the most powerful experiences of their lives.
Before becoming a mother, I spent years as a dancer and fell in love with the strength, creativity, and self-expression that pole fitness offered. After having children, I felt a deep desire to return to that part of myself—not only to continue honoring my own body, but to share this empowering art form with others.
As I pursued certifications in both pole instruction and doula work, I began to recognize a powerful connection between the two. The movements in pole dance—centered on fluidity, strength, balance, and body awareness—can be incredibly supportive during pregnancy and postpartum. Beyond the physical benefits, pole offers something even deeper: a reclamation of self. It helps mothers reconnect with their bodies in a way that feels grounded, sensual, and confident during a time when so much is shifting.
Incorporating pole fitness into my doula practice has become a natural extension of the care I offer—supporting women not only through birth, but in rediscovering their power, pleasure, and presence in their postpartum bodies.
I support all birthing spaces—whether that’s at home, in a birth center, or in a hospital. While my training emphasizes natural, unmedicated childbirth, my core philosophy is grounded in informed consent, personal empowerment, and unconditional support.
Every family deserves access to evidence-based education, compassionate guidance, and the freedom to make choices that align with their values, beliefs, and unique circumstances. My role is not to shape your birth for you, but to walk alongside you—offering the resources, reassurance, and respect you need to confidently navigate your journey.
I believe that an informed birth is an empowered birth, no matter the setting, interventions, or outcome.
Support informed decision-making
Encourage physical health through movement
Create a calm, supported birth environment
Honor the autonomy of the client
Promote long-term wellness
My approach to care is rooted in the principles of informed consent—ensuring that all families are fully aware of the risks, benefits, and alternatives to any decision made throughout the birthing process.
